So what is this all about? This is about stretching myself beyond the academic and scholarly that has been my world for more than a decade. This is where I can write about whatever interests me, of which there are many subjects. Moreover, I plan to write about these things in the manner that I want to, so if you enjoy it then cool, if not, then I’m not at all worried about it. There will be lots of culture and pop culture, sports and music, history and travel. I intend to steer well clear of politics, if at all possible.
I have a ton of personal stories about this life that I’ve lived that I think are interesting to tell, so I will likely do so here. I have another butt ton of stories to tell that are partially real and partially made up. And then I have things that are pure fiction. You readers will get a dose of all of them, and most of the time I will tell you which is which…but sometimes not to see if you all can figure it out for yourselves.
I am going to talk about music, something that I have a wide and varied interest in. It’s mostly the various forms of rock n roll for me, from 50s rocakabilly to, metal, indie, punk, progressive, and so on and so forth. I mean there is just a shit load of amazing music to sample and talk about. And this is something that I would love to have as an interactive part of this. Maybe I’ll be able to find a way to do some sort of podcast on it, just for fun.
